To achieve Fellowship status in the International Academy for Dental-Facial Esthetics, the individual must be nominated by an existing IADFE Fellow at https://iadfe.org/nominate-a-colleague.php.

Then the nominee is sent a Fellowship Invitation and Application form which must be completed on the IADFE Application form, on-line or hardcopy, and submitted no later than the indicated date, including the payment of the $550 Fellowship Application fee through PayPal. A supporting Curriculum Vitae may also be included. The Fellowship Application form is then reviewed by the Regents, and successful applicants are notified by telephone or e-mail within 2 weeks of the Application submission. If the Application is not accepted by the Regents, the $550 Application fee is returned in full.

Successful applicants are inducted at an International Meeting of the IADFE, held annually in New York City in conjunction with the Greater New York Dental Meeting and occasionally at other locations including Tokyo and Sydney, although personal attendance is not mandatory. The Fellowship Induction Ceremony confers the Certificate of Fellowship and the Designated Fellowship Recognition Pin during a prestigious cap and gown ceremony (at the Harmonie Club in New York). New Fellows are introduced while enumerating their achievements and providing the initial platform for their successful networking.
